The 4th Annual NAI Florida Forum brought together over 300 professionals and elected government officials from the South Florida community on November 16 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Miami.
In his first speech as the newly elected City of Miami Mayor, Francis Suarez eloquently delivered our opening remarks while Karen Gilmore of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta returned to provide the Federal Reserve economic outlook and Kiernan “K.C.” Conway, recently appointed chief economist for CCIM, presented our keynote address for a second time.
We would like to thank all of our speakers, guests and sponsors for making the 4th Annual NAI Florida Forum a major success. We look forward to hosting you all again next year.
THANK YOU to our 2017 Sponsors
Since 1992 The Big Heart Brigade volunteers have prepped close to 2 million Thanksgiving dinners for less fortunate ones in our community. This years massive undertaking served a traditional turkey dinner for over 45,000 people and was fueled by 4,000 volunteers. The volunteers cook, package and deliver the meals to needy ones, many in Pahokee and Belle Glade, on Thanksgiving Day.
NAI/Merin Hunter Codman’s REAL Leaders have enjoyed volunteering for the past several years. This year over 20 REAL Leaders donned their red shirts to assist in the breakdown of the site that was behind Fire Station #3 on Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. In past years, our team has worked as an assembly line to package the food in to-go containers. This years effort required a little more elbow grease to clean the gallon tubs all the fixings were stored in and get the site cleared out.
Our MHC REAL Leaders had the pleasure of volunteering for the fifth time at the Urban League of Palm Beach County’s Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway. The Urban League of Palm Beach County has been the leading provider of comprehensive family services to over 16,000 disadvantaged families in our community each year. Their clients live below the poverty line and in under-served and challenged areas throughout Palm Beach County.
Through sponsorship and volunteer efforts they distribute Thanksgiving meal boxes that include everything a family needs to have a happy and healthy holiday. Our social service team was in charge of unloading the turkeys, packaging them into bags and handing them out to families. When the team started to arrive around 7AM there was already a line of appreciative families waiting outside of the location and a steady stream continued until the last turkey was passed out to the 800th family.
NAI/Merin Hunter Codman prides itself on its support of the community we live and do business in. The firm encourages all of its employees to get involved and we sponsor regular community service team building projects benefitting numerous local non-profit and charity institutions. NAI/Merin Hunter Codman’s REAL LEADERS program began in 2009 and together we have supported countless organizations through volunteer work, cash, and in-kind donations.
Our principals, agents and employees hold leadership positions in many local charitable and non-profit groups, including:

We were happy to be part and sponsors of the 4th Annual Heroes for Education 5K that took place on November 4th at Bryant Park in Lake Worth. More than 600 runners, students, teachers, district employees, volunteers, families, and friends joined together to raise awareness and funds for the students in Palm Beach County schools. This fundraising effort allows the Education Foundation the opportunity to provide essential tools to help prepare our future leaders and the teachers that inspire them. Congratulations to all who participated and especially to the Public Schools who won a Physical Education Grant.
