Jeff Cebula, Senior Associate of our Tenant Rep Division, attended the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County’s Business Appreciation Bus Tour in North Palm Beach County, visiting three hidden gems that play a vital role in driving economic growth. The tour provided valuable insights into each operation, as 25 business leaders gained a behind-the-scenes, exclusive view of three facilities.

North Palm Beach County Companies:
- Niagara Water: This massive 240,000 sq. ft. facility uses cutting-edge tech to produce 8 million products every day.
- K-Rain: A family-run business now in its third generation, with a team of young engineers driving innovative, future-focused plans.
- Scientific Instruments: 1 of only 2 companies in the U.S. crafting cryogenic temperature sensors for labs, industry, and medical use.
“Fueled by our mission of attracting, retaining and expanding businesses in Palm Beach County, we plan to continue empowering the transformation of this county into a leading global destination for innovation, business diversity and prosperity. We appreciate business leaders who invest in that mission and support economic development in Palm Beach County as a BDB member,” said Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO, Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB).
What an eye-opening tour! From seeing Niagara Water produce bottles, caps, and labels all in-house—144,000 bottles an hour, wow!—to visiting K-Rain, where they develop and engineer a wide range of sprinkler systems. Who would have thought this thriving, homegrown, third-generation company is not only based in Palm Beach County but is also making waves nationally and internationally? Our last stop at Scientific Instruments was equally impressive, learning about cryofreezing and calculating sub-zero gas temperatures for NASA and other clients. And let’s not forget the nitrogen ice cream treat with Oreo topping—they got me with that one! A fantastic tour with great companies and even better relationships formed in just a few hours. Thank you, BDB, for another outstanding event! – Jeffrey Cebula
The tour has successfully completed a four-part series, showcasing the diverse regions of Palm Beach County: North, South, Central, and West. This initiative aimed to honor the county’s leading companies and highlight the dynamic business landscape within Palm Beach County.
